Our story

Founded in 1999, ASICS.ws began offering products and services from day one. What started as a pure IP-core provider has grown into a full design house covering ASIC and FPGA design across networking, CPUs, DSPs, controllers and encryption — including custom ASIC design and fabrication on any process.

Along the way we became the first company to provide free IP cores, complete with source code, documentation and test benches. That openness built our reputation; the quality of the cores kept it.

Our business model

Typical commercial IP cores sell well above the $100,000 mark — a serious financial and time-to-market risk when you can't evaluate real RTL first. We took a page from the software industry instead: provide free cores with full source and documentation, and earn revenue through paid support, customization and exclusive cores for registered customers. You verify quality before you spend a dollar.

Our team

Our engineering staff consists of highly experienced senior engineers who had spent 12–25 years in digital design before joining us. That experience shows up where it matters: accurate quotes, accurate schedules and designs that work the first time. More than 80% of our business comes from returning customers.
